Microsoft Rolls Out Security Updates for Office Suite

· by · Product News

Microsoft released security updates for Office 2004, Office 2008 and Open XML Converter on Wednesday. The updates patch security flaws that could lead to an attacker adding malicious code to a Mac's memory.

The Office 2008 update also preps the application suite for Microsoft Entourage 2008 for Mac Web Services Edition. The new version of Entourage is expected some time later in 2009 and adds Exchange Web Services support to the contact, calendar and email application for improved Exchange 2007 SP1 compatibility.

Microsoft Office 2004 11.5.5, Microsoft Office 2008 12.1.9 and Open XML Converter 1.0.3 are available for download at the Microsoft Web site.
