Peripherals manufacturer Newer Technology announced its MAXPower 802.11g/b Wireless USB 2.0 Stick Adapter on Thursday. The adapter features full USB 1.1 and USB 2.0 support, making it compatible with any almost every Macintosh to feature a USB port.
The card offers performance speeds up to five times faster than Apple's factory 802.11b card and requires a Mac running Mac OS X 10.3.9 or later to install and run. Other features include a CD-ROM with drivers included, a user guide, support for the 64/128/152 bit WEP, WPA/WPA2 security protocols and a 2 year warranty.
NewerTech's MAXPower 802.11g/b Wireless USB 2.0 Stick Adapter retails for $24.00 and is immediately available through the company's Other World Computing distributor channel.
