QuickerTek Intros 1 Watt USB Wi-Fi Booster

QuickerTek announced the immediate availability of its new 1 Watt USB Transceiver for laptops that boosts Wi-Fi signal range by up to ten times.

QuickerTek's 1 Watt USB Wi-Fi Transceiver

The transceiver supports 802.11b and 802.11g, 64 and 128-bit WEP, WPA and WPA2 encryption, and includes a removable antenna for future higher power upgrades. It requires Mac OS X 10.3.9 or higher and a USB 1.1 or USB 2.0 port.

The QuickerTek 1 Watt USB Transceiver is priced at US$299.95 and is available at the QuickerTek Web site.

I always click through for a full read on these QuickerTek product announcements, because I know that there is a guaranteed hearty guffaw out of how expensive their stuff is. Damn. I sure hope I don’t ever need one of their products - ouch.

I know the price of gold has gone up but $300 for this.  For that price, I’ll get and walk a bit closer.

Do you have one in Aluminum?  Maybe less expensive!?!
