Santa Barbara Apple Store Opens May 9

Apple is opening its State Street retail store in Santa Barbara, California, on Saturday, May 9. The grand opening starts at 10am, with free Apple T-shirts for the first 1,000 visitors.

The store will be hosting a week long series of special events to celebrate the grand opening that includes workshops, demonstrations, and educational presentations.

It is a shame that we are in a state of emergency right now here in Santa Barbara.  It is unlucky timing to open an Apple Store during this wildfire (jesusita). . . thousands have been evacuated, and State St. may not even be navigable by Saturday (depending on the wind).

I wonder if they will reschedule . . . ?
