Aspyr announced Tuesday the availability of The Secret of Monkey Island : Special Edition for the Mac as a digital download through GameAgent. The game is a re-creation of the 1990 classic, and includes new art, a remastered score, a new voice-over (using the original game’s cast), and an in-depth hint system for players looking for help.
The game’s story line puts the player in the role of a pirate looking to win infamy in the Caribbean in 17th Century setting, while at the same time winning the affections of Governor Elaine Marley. Oh, and you have to fight the ghost pirate LeChuck while you’re at it.
