Twelve South Announces BookArc Stand for MacBook Line

· by · Product News

Twelve South announced Tuesday the release of BookArc, a new stand for Apple's MacBook product line, including MacBook, MacBook Air, and MacBook Pro (up tot he 17" model). The device is intended to allow your MacBook to operate in a vertical position, reducing its footprint.

BookArc is made of stainless steel, and includes three different sizes of a soft silicone cushion that will fit Apple's various MacBook models. The silicone cushions are also designed to protect your laptop from scratches. The stand's total footprint is 10" x 4".

"Our vision behind BookArc was twofold," Andrew Green, cofounder and design principal of Twelve South, said in a statement. "First, we see the MacBook as a beautiful piece of art that deserves to be put on display. Second, using your laptop as a desktop when not on the road is how many Mac users work today, including myself. Running the MacBook in a BookArc tucked behind a beautiful Cinema Display frees up valuable space and provides a less cluttered modern-looking workspace."

BookArc is available immediately and is priced at US$49.99 at the Apple Store.
