Walmart to Sell iPad on Oct 15

· by · News

Apple’s iPad will be available at yet another big name retailer when it hits store shelves in Walmart stores around the U.S. on October 15. The iPad will be available in several hundred Walmart locations initially, and will expand to over 2,000 stores by mid November.

The iPad is coming to Walmart

The iPad is Apple’s iOS-based tablet device that can play back videos and audio, and can run most iPhone-compatible apps. It includes the iBooks ebook reader and access to Apple’s iBookstore, includes a 9.7-inch multi-touch display, offers built-in Wi-Fi and Bluetooth support, and some models include 3G wireless data access support.

Walmart already sells Apple’s iPod lineup along with the iPhone 3GS and iPhone 4.

Like Target and Best Buy, Walmart will sell the iPad at Apple’s sticker price. Target started selling the iPad in its stores earlier this month, and Best Buy started selling the combination iPad and smartphone when it was first available in April.

Well it is made in China, so I guess it’s appropriate.

List price huh.  Voluntary or required by Apple?

Yeah that’s the industry, everything (almost anyway) is made in China. Even iPhone.
