Akamai, Apple's QuickTime Streaming Provider, Buys InterVu Inc.

Akam ai Technologies Inc., Apple's content streaming partner, said that it will acquire InterVu Inc. for $2.8 billion in stock creating what George Conrades, Akamai's CEO said would be, "..the hands-down leader in the field of Internet streaming."
