This is one of the best podcasts from MacWorld Expobecause instead of 40 minutes of what happens next without Apple, you actually provide really useful info on products - really helpful for those of us who could not go to MW Expo. Thanks and look forward to the show notes!
I will start with saying this, I have been a listener of the Mac Geek Gab since show early 2007 give or take. To learn more about Macs, as I was a recent switcher, I came across this show in iTunes. I have always been an avid listener because I like the format of the show. It feels live and they do a great job of taking listener questions and answering them in a way that’s easy to listen to, energetic, and sometimes just plain funny. The cover a wide range of topics that will inform you but not always be out there in geek speak. They have the ability to put a show together that is fun and educational to listen to. I also like the fact that they include pictures, links, and chapter markers in the AAC version so that you can easily click on the link in iTunes and it take you to whatever product or service that was mentioned. This takes lots of time to produce and it shows in the final product.
Over the past 4 shows of the MGG, I was the person that took the raw audio that was recorded and enhanced it using only Garage Band and some 3rd party Audio Unit plugins that really made the audio come alive as you listened to it. I spent a great deal of time making the audio sound better and to include the all of the images, website links, and general info that is imbedded in the enhanced AAC version in iTunes. Their past show #186 had a ton of great content for us to check out even if we weren’t able to go to the show ourselves. I am a college student in MS and could not afford the time nor the money to travel to California in addition to show itself. I know I bookmarked several items discussed as I was going through preparing this show for all of the listeners around the world to listen to. I am glad that I was able to help out in Michael Johnston’s stead while he was at Macworld. Thanks for your input David.
Thanks for the great work, Brent!! It’s appreciated.
