XtremeMac’s Zip Folio Case For iPad Is Terrific

This attractive iPad case, the Zip Folio Case, from ExtremeMac includes a sturdy, three sided, one piece zipper closure and the iPad is completely enclosed when zipped. When opened, there is full access to switches, jack outlets and the rear camera for either the iPad 2 or the new iPad.

Inside the case are organizational pockets for papers, cards, or notes, and there is a sturdy loop for a pen or stylus.

Inside View

The case is available in four colors. The composition is leather, although it has a glossy crinkle finish. The MSRP is US$49.99, but I found it at several on-line sites for amounts as low as US$25.00.

Using the Product

I tried this case with both an iPad2 and the new iPad 3rd generation, and it works equally well with either iPad version. I had to pull a bit to remove the new iPad, but it was no big deal. Everything was readily available. This is a well made case. The slots on the left side, designed to hold cards, papers, etc., are roomy and it is easy to insert and remove items. The stitching is secure.

My iPad felt well protected once it was zipped into the case and it was easy to work without removing the case. However, there is no way to elevate the iPad while using this case without using an additional item such as a box or block. It would be an ideal choice for attending meetings.

Do I Recommend it?

I do. It is attractive and professional looking and provides good protection for either an iPad 2 or an iPad 3rd generation.
