Apple’s MacBook Neo demand remains strong heading into May, and supply issues continue to frustrate buyers as shipping estimates already stretch between May 18 and May 26 through Apple’s online store, showing that the company still hasn’t caught up nearly two months after launch.
After Apple sold through its April online inventory in just 15 days, May is starting with similar pressure, while in-store stock remains the fastest option for customers who can find local availability. However, pickup options continue to change frequently depending on the region and color selection.
While Apple’s own shipping windows keep slipping, retailers currently provide better options for buyers who want the MacBook Neo sooner.
Amazon is offering a small $10 discount on the $599 base price, with select citrus, blush, and indigo models arriving as early as May 4, although some configurations still face mid-month delays.
Walmart currently appears to offer the best silver MacBook Neo availability, with some overnight shipping options giving buyers a faster route than Apple’s official store.
Strong launch demand continues
Apple launched the MacBook Neo on March 11 after unveiling it on March 4, and demand has remained unusually high since day one.
CEO Tim Cook recently said the MacBook Neo delivered Apple’s best launch week ever for first-time Mac buyers, while he described customer response as “off the charts.”
With its lower price, colorful design, A18 Pro chip, and strong battery life, the MacBook Neo continues attracting new customers faster than Apple can supply inventory, and unless production improves soon, shipping delays will likely remain a major issue throughout May.
