WhatsApp has begun rolling out the Liquid Glass interface to its Business app on iPhone, bringing the same visual style that first appeared on the iOS 26 version of the main app months earlier. The update focuses on transparency, depth, and layered visuals that make menus and buttons look softer and more modern while keeping the layout familiar for daily use.
The biggest change appears in the tab bar, which now floats above the interface instead of sitting flat at the bottom. You can still move between chats, updates, and calls the same way, but the translucent effect lets background content subtly show through, giving the app a cleaner hierarchy without changing navigation behavior.

According to WABetaInfo, some users already see the redesign after installing the latest update, while others still have the older interface. The report notes the rollout remains gradual and not tied to a specific region or device model.
Liquid Glass reaches Business app
The new design follows guidelines introduced in Apple’s iOS 26 visual framework. Buttons now appear as frosted layers instead of solid shapes, and context menus adopt a semi-transparent look that blends into chats. The typing area also changes, with a softer keyboard panel that visually merges with the conversation background.
WhatsApp, owned by Meta, seems to prioritize stability before enabling the interface for everyone. Some users reported minor tab bar glitches, which suggests testing continues before a full public release.
Rollout and known issues
The feature currently reaches only selected accounts:
- Available after updating from the App Store
- Sometimes visible in beta builds
- Occasional tab bar bugs reported
- Wider release expected in coming weeks
Some people tried deleting accounts to force the update, but this removes chats and backups permanently and still does not guarantee access. For now, keeping the app updated remains the safest approach while the rollout expands across WhatsApp Business users.
