Appleis stock managed to clear US$187 in pre-market trading on Tuesday following the companyis strong fourth quarter earnings report. The jump is a sharp climb over its Monday closing price of US$174.36.
The Cupertino company beat Wall Street estimates of $6.05 billion in revenue and a $0.85 EPS with $6.22 billion and $1.01 EPS. Apple also finished the fiscal year with $15.4 billion in cash and no debt.
The Mac and iPod maker showed a strong increase in computer sales with 2.164 million Macs shipped during the September quarter, up 34 percent year-over-year. iPod sales were also up 17 percent compared to the same quarter last year at 10.2 million.
Appleis market cap is currently sitting at $151.63 billion. In comparison, IBMis market cap is $156.45 billion, and Dell is at $63.01 billion.
Apple is currently trading in the pre-market at $187.25, up 12.89 (7.39%).
