App4Mac Software on Friday released the latest versions of its kiosk browser and management utilities, wKiosk Browser 4 and wKiosk Remote Supervision 2. The former features support for the Safari 2.0 engine, improved performance and new tab, preferences, pop-up window and URL control management functions. The latter brings in support for Mac OS X v10.4 "Tiger" and features new preferences management as well as the ability to control a kiosk from any computer.
wKiosk Browser 4 also includes support for wKiosk Remote Supervision 2. Theyire designed to work together, one enabling Internet kiosk users to surf the Web while the other remotely manages kiosks on the local network and allows the administrator to take control of any of them. Both applications require Mac OS X v10.3.9 or v10.4. wKiosk Browser 4 is US$69 and wKiosk Remote Supervision 2 is $380 for a license that covers ten kiosks.
