Brother Debuts New Label Printer

Brother on Monday introduced its new QL-650TD "Time & Date" direct thermal label printer, which can operate in a standalone mode for situations where users need visitor passes, for example. It can produce up to 56 labels per minute at 300dpi resolution, printing to a variety of labels up to 2.4 inches wide.

The printeris front panel LCD screen enables users to select one of eight preset or 10 custom label formats. The preset formats include the date and time, messages, date and number sequences and more. Custom options include bar codes, company logos and more.

When connected to a computer, the QL-650TD can print directly from such applications as Microsoft Word and Excel. Itis shipping this month with a US$199.99 price tag. No product page was available on the Brother Web site as The Mac Observer posted this article.
