Other changes include: the ability to create an encrypted library, a smart folder to save items when the app is not running, utilization of Spotlight to index content for files EaglerFiler doesnit understand, new support for Skim and Journler and much more.

EagleFiler

EaglerFiler is a library program designed to store and search e-mail, Web pages, PDF files, word processing documents, and images. Browsing is achieved with the classic three-pane interface. Documents can be tagged for searching and annotated with notes. EaglerFiler stores its library in Finder format, so it can be used with other Mac OS X tools.

Getting information into EaglerFiler is obtained by simply pressing the defined capture key (F1 by default). Drag-and-drop methods also work. Once the document is in EagleFiler, it stays the same, just as when it was imported. To find the document later, powerful search options are included that make it easy to narrow down the search quickly. EaglerFiler uses the Core Data SQL database.

EagleFiler 1.2 is a Universal Application and requires Mac OS X 10.4 or later. It is priced at US$40.00.
