Blackmagic Design announced the immediate availability of the DeckLink Extreme with PCI Express for the new Power Mac G5 on Wednesday. The DeckLink Extreme is a video capture board that takes advantage of the high speed expansion slots in the G5 systems Apple just announced.
The DeckLink Extreme supports professional level video quality, and is compatible with QuickTime based Mac OS X applications like Final Cut Pro HD, Apple Shake, Adobe Photoshop, DVD Studio Pro, Adobe After Effects, Apple Motion, and iDVD.
The card includes 10-bit SDI input and output, XLR balanced audio input and output, built in DV Bridge, instant switching between NTSC and PAL, and more. The DeckLink Extreme retails for US$895.
