Nisus Software, Inc. has released an update for Nisus Email, bringing it to version 1.6. Nisus Email is an email client designed for the management and sending of email. The update version includes performance enhancements such as SMTP and OS X support. According to Nisus Software:

Just some of the many new enhancements of Nisus Email 1.6 include:
- OS X version now available
- SMTP authorization is now supported
- E-mail message flags added (forwarded, replied to, and priority)
- Foreign character sets supported for both incoming and outgoing file attachment names
- Nicknames are autoexpanded in any To:, CC:, and BCC: fields
- Each user personality now has a reply-to address
- Incoming e-mails with foreign character set encodings are automatically displayed in the proper font if possible
