Elgato announced the immediate availability the EyeTV 250 Plus combination TV tuner and video converter on Thursday. The successor to the EyeTV 250 displays and records analog TV programs, and also digitizes video cassettes and other analog video sources.
The EyeTV 250 Plus supports over-the-air analog and cable TV signals, over-the-air digital TV, and connects to your Mac via USB 2.0. It includes built-in hardware-based MPEG-2 encoding to convert recordings for playback on a computer other devices, Roxio Toast 8 Basic, a Composite and S-Video adapter, USB cable, and EyeTV IR remote control.
The EyeTV 250 Plus is priced at US$199.
