Griffin Redesigns iMic For Use with Current Hardware

Griffin Technology on Wednesday debuted a new iMic USB audio adapter thatis been redesigned for use with current PCs and Macs. iMic enables users to connect a microphone or other sound input device to any computer with a USB port; it supports mic and line level inputs as well as variable level output.

Griffin noted that iMic is better than the built-in audio found in most computers because USB isolates the signal from the internal electronics, increasing the sound quality. The device comes with Final Vinyl, software for converting LPs and cassette tapes to MP3s. The new iMic will ship in mid-November for US$39.99.
