Impression Updated With New Burn Engine

The Babel Company has released an update for Impression, bringing it to version 2.1. Impression is a utility designed for the secure backup of optical disc directories. The update features a rewritten burn engine and speed enhancements. According to The Babel Company:

Impression is a low cost backup utility used to back up directories to (and restore them from) multiple optical discs (CD-R, CD-RW, and DVD-R are supported). It includes a utility for erasing rewritable discs.

Impression 2.1 offers a substantial update to the backup application for OS X. The burn engine has been rewritten and now offers operator-selectable burn drive choices as well as the ability to save disk images for later burning. In addition, the speed of backup operations have been noticeably increased, the sizing/estimation routines are more accurate and many notable bugs have been fixed.
