Intelli Innovations, Inc. has released an update for IntelliMerge, bringing it to version 2.2.1. IntelliMerge is an email merge app that is fully customizable and has an integrated database. The update includes transaction timeout handling and bug fixes. According to Intelli Innovations:
Intelli Innovations, Inc. is pleased to announce IntelliMerge 2.2.1, a new functionality update to its popular e-mail merge software for the Mac OS.
The new version of IntelliMerge now includes automatic connection and transaction timeout handling; if a specific transaction is taking too long to complete, IntelliMerge flags the record and moves on, instead of waiting for TCP/IP and/or the server to return an error. IntelliMerge will automatically calculate timeouts and check for: time to connect to server, time to reach mailing point, time to send message body, and time to release connection.
IntelliMerge now supports returns (ASCII 11) in imported text files. This can be used to include multi-line custom variables in your messages fromFileMaker Pro and other such compatible applications.
This release also fixes several bugs, including these more important issues:
- IntelliMerge no longer sets the "dirty" flag (in Mac OS X, the dot in the close box) of a message editor unnecessarily when switching between message types
- An MIME output glitch caused international characters to appear incorrectly in rare situations involving older versions of Eudora
- Several customer reports that IntelliMerge would wait around at the end of the mailing (due to server connections that wouldnit let go) have been fixed thanks to the new timeout features
- IntelliMerge no longer duplicates instances of the same document in multiple windows should the document be opened more than once during a single session
You can find more information about the IntelliMerge update at the Intelli Innovations Web site. Users of previous versions can upgrade to 2.x for US$29.95, while the full version is available for US$79.95.
