Lexar's JumpDrive Secure II Encrypts, 'Shreds' Files

Lexar Media Inc. has released JumpDrive Secure II, a new USB 2.0 flash drive that features 256-bit AES encryption as well as the ability to "shred" files so that no traces of them are left when theyire deleted. Lexar noted that the JumpDrive Secure II is approximately half the size of its predecessor.

The new product is available in 256MB, 512MB, 1GB and 2GB capacities. Pricing was not disclosed, and there wasnit a product page available as The Mac Observer posted this article. The driveis accompanying software, which helps users encrypt files and perform other tasks, requires Mac OS X v10.2.7.
