Localized Version Of REALbasic Coming To France

Alsyd has announced a deal to take over the distribution of REALbasic, including producing a localized version and providing support, in France. The new deal will provide French users with a high level of service and support, and should make it easier for French developers to begin using REALbasic. According to REAL Software:

REAL Software of Austin, Texas, and Grenoble, France based Alsyd, announce a strategic republisher agreement. As of July 1, 2001, Alsyd will assume all sales, marketing and support of the REALbasic product line in France.

REALbasic is the powerful, easy-to-use tool for creating your own software for Macintosh, Mac OS X, and Windows. It is easy enough for beginners and powerful enough for professionals to use, allowing them to develop their software with a single set of user interface elements and code without requiring any platform-specific adjustments.

"As the formost tool for cross platform rapid application development, REALbasic is a natural addition for Alsyd, with our specialization in internet, security and scientific products. REALbasic is already the tool of choice for French Mac OS developers, and we are happy to have the opportunity to introduce REALbasic to our professional user base," said Patrick Binet, president of Alsyd.

Alsyd will localize REALbasic 3.5, REAL Softwareis forthcoming version, into the French language. REALbasic 3.5 French Edition will be available through the Alsyd website and through Alsydis network of resellers throughout French speaking Europe.
