Maxtor Corporation announced Monday the Maxtor OneTouch II drive with a FireWire 800 interface for the Macintosh.
The new drive delivers up to 800Mbit per second data transfer rates and includes Maxtoris DriveLock security feature and EMC Dantz Retrospect Express HD software for backup and restores.
The Maxtor OneTouch II will retail for US$259.95 for the 200 gigabyte (GB) model and $329.95 for the 300GB model.
The drive is shipping this month in the US and Canada and worldwide in July. A 500GB version will be shipping later this year, the company said.
