Targus, Inc. announced Monday the Notebook ChillHub, a fan-based notebook cooling pad with an integrated four-port USB 2.0 hub.
The ChillHub (photo below) implements a two-fan cooling system to draw heat from the laptop, preventing the CPU from overheating during use.
With its four-port USB 2.0 hub, users can attach multiple devices such as a mouse, keyboard or external drive and save desk space by eliminating the need for an external hub. In addition, the device fits directly under a laptop and can be powered by the computer using the included upstream cable, or by the included AC adapter.
Measuring 11.75 inches by 9 inches by 0.8 inches and weighing 18 ounces, the ChillHub is powered by the computer using the included upstream cable or by the included AC adapter.
The ChillHub is available now retailing for US$49.99 and includes a one-year warranty.
