New Version Of Patent Grabber Now Shipping

The Mac-Stacks Emporium is now shipping a new version of Patent Grabber, bringing it to version 2.0. Patent Grabber is an automatic download utility designed for finding specific user defined patent pages. The new version includes WIPO support. According to The Mac-Stacks Emporium:

The Mac-Stacks Emporium today announced that it has released Patent Grabber 2.0 which has the newly added ability to download published PCT patent applications from free public archives. Additionally, many new interface enhancements were added.

Patent Grabber is a PowerPC-native application that automates the process of downloading patent documents from free public patent archives. Instead of going to an archive and loading and printing patent pages one at a time with your web browser, you simply give Patent Grabber a list of patents and click "Get Patents." Patent Grabber then downloads every page of all the patents to your Mac while you do something else.

Version 2.0 adds the ability to download patent applications that are published by the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) under the Patent Cooperation Treaty (PCT). These published PCT patent applications are well known as a significant source of technological information.

You can find more information about the new version of Patent Grabber at The Mac-Stacks Emporium Web site. Patent Grabber 2.0 is availble for US$20.00.
