New Video Capture Card Released

Aurora Video Systems has released the Ignitor Video Capture Card which offers 24 frames/second capture and playback. The new card provides an affordable and powerful solution for producing high quality desktop video. According to Aurora Video Systems:

Aurora Video Systems announced that its Igniter Video Capture Card offering 24 fps capture and playback is now available. This new driver and daughtercard option allows filmmakers to work at 24 frames per second so they can edit film with affordable desktop video editing software.

Current Igniter Studio owners can download the software directly at http://www.auroravideosys.com. Aurora is also currently shipping the Igniter Film? bundle, which includes the Igniter base card, component I/O, a breakout box and the Film option daughtercard. Current owners who own Igniter cards can purchase the Film option daughtercard separately.

"Finally, a card that offers filmmakers a true alternative to established and expensive film editing equipment," said film editor John M. Taylor; "Aurora has made a great idea into reality, and it really works!" Taylor is currently editing the independent feature film Swirl, directed by Lesley Wilson, on a CyberFilm 240 system incorporating the Igniter Film card and Appleis Final Cut Pro film editing software.
