On2 Technologies on Monday released Flix Exporter 8 for Mac, which enables users to export content from Final Cut Pro or DVD Studio Pro directly to a SWF or FLV Flash file. The software outputs two-pass video, supports alpha channel encoding that preserves green screen special effects and background masking, supports fractional frame rates and integrates with Final Cut Pro and DVD Studio Pro through a button in the toolbar.
Pricing is US$149. System requirements call for Mac OS X v10.3.x or higher, a G3 processor (G4 recommended), 128MB RAM, 25MB free hard drive space, Safari 2.0 or Internet Explorer 5.0, Flash 8 Player and QuickTime 6.
