Econ Technologies on Thursday updated its photo studio software Portraits & Prints to version 2.1, adding built-in support for iPhoto. The application can now access all the images in an iPhoto library and add them to its catalog. Portraits & Prints offers many templates for printing photos with a variety of borders, artwork and even speech bubbles.
This upgrade also includes the ability to view Finder and Spotlight comments about iPhoto images, as well as the titles, ratings and comments found in iPhoto. Templates can also include iPhoto information.
Portraits & Prints 2.1, which is a free upgrade for existing users, also offers a new set of templates called "Collage." The standard version of the full software is US$30; a Pro Edition, which enables editing templates as well as creating new ones, is $50. Mac OS X v10.2.8 or higher and a 400MHz G3 processor are required.
