Wall Street thinks that Flash memory maker SanDisk could benefit strongly from Appleis planned use of Flash memory in new products like the iPhone, according to a story at Forbes.
Analyst Doug Freedman believes that Appleis increased orders for NAND flash memory will absorb the current oversupply and solidify prices.
"Apple is a key consumer of NAND flash (memory), which SanDisk highlighted at its recent analyst event where it stated that a flash-based video iPod could potentially consume 10 percent of fourth-quarter flash (memory) capacity," Freedman wrote in a note to investors.
Appleis likely roadmap for Flash memory was recently discussed by analyst Shaw Wu, and his view was recently reported by TMO.
