Several Events, New Features, & A Contest

This week, the MUG Center has lots of news. There are several events taking place during the several days, including a contest from MacBUS of Philadelphia. The MUG Center has also added a new section to its Web site. From the Mug Center:

The Apple Store in Palo Alto will host a special USER GROUP NIGHT on November 11 from 7 - 9 PM. Open only to Macintosh User Group members, their families, and Apple Solution Experts, the event will celebrate the availability of the iPod. There will be special demonstrations of the iPod and Mac OS X by Apple product managers and special gifts for those who want to take one home. Get directions to the store, and be there when the store re-opens at 7 PM, just for MUG members!

An iPod Sneak Preview, hosted by the Apple Student Core @ Emory & The Atlanta Macintosh Users Group, will be held on November 8 at Emory University in Atlanta. The event is open to the public and will feature the iPod Product Manager.

The members of The Apple Regional Liaison Team now have their own sections on The MUG Center! Team members will be posting reports on MUG activities in their areas, highlighting regional events and profiling local groups. If you have a story to share or just want to learn more about MUG activity in your area, make the new RLT Reports section a regular stop.
