Sorenson Media has released a new version of Squeeze for Web animators. Squeeze is a video compression app that utilizes the new Spark Pro codec, also by Sorenson. The latest Squeeze release brings Macromedia Flash MX support and provides developers with extended video compression options for online content. According to Sorenson Media:
Sorenson Media, the leading provider of high-quality video compression and streaming software today announced the availability of Sorenson Squeeze for Macromedia Flash MX. Macromedia Flash MX, announced last week, enables the development of a new generation of rich Internet content and applications. Macromedia and Sorenson Media worked together to integrate video into Macromedia Flash MX and Macromedia Flash Player 6.
Sorenson Squeeze for Macromedia Flash MX is an optional video compression application for Macromedia Flash MX that includes a new video codec called Sorenson Spark Professional (Pro). Squeeze with Spark Pro provides Macromedia Flash MX developers with enhanced video compression capabilities for higher quality and smaller file size. Squeeze for Macromedia Flash MX allows users to compress their video offline while continuing to create Macromedia Flash movies. The standard edition of Sorenson Spark is included as part of Macromedia Flash MX.
