Synium Software plans on releasing MacFamilyTree 5.0 before the end of 2007, and the company is offering a "sneak peak" to show off whatis in store for the new version. The new version of the genealogy application will sport a redesigned interface, a new dynamic family tree creation assistant, and more.
MacFamilyTree 5.0 will gain .Mac support, will support uploading HTML versions of their family trees to the Internet through the included Web hosting service, and will be fully GEDCOM compatible. The application will also take advantage of Appleis CoreData technology allowing it to manage substantially larger databases.
MacFamilyTree 4.5 is priced at US$49, and is available for download at the Synium Software Web site. Purchases made after August 14 will receive version 5 for free.
