Shareware developer Wincent has released version 3.1 of WinSwitch, its free utility that enables fast user switching in Mac OS X. This is a maintenance update that fixes bugs and introduces support for Mac OS X v10.4 "Tiger," which will be available on April 29. WinSwitch is similar to the fast user switching feature introduced in Mac OS X v10.3 "Panther," but it implements improvements to the look and feel, offers six different styles of menu bar icons, includes options for displaying an icon or picture in place of the user name and more. Wincent doesnit note system requirements on its Web site.
