Apple Opens First Store in Germany

Apple opened the doors on its first store in Germany on Saturday, December 6. Long lines of people turned out for the grand opening of the Rosenstrasse store in Munich, and the location apparently saw some 4,000 visitors within the first four hours.

According to ifoAppleStore, a crowd began forming outside the store at 1:30AM local time, well ahead of the 10AM opening. Traffic at the store appeared to be heavy throughout the day despite the chilly weather.

A video of the store interior, complete with spiral staircase leading to the second floor, is available at the MacCast Web site.
