iOS 7.1 beta 5 was released to iPhone and iPad developers on Tuesday, bringing us just a little closer to an official public launch. Users have been impatiently waiting for the iOS update to hit with hopes that the final release will include fixes for crashes, interface improvements, and improved battery life.
Word is already circulating on the Internet that the developer-only beta release includes improvements to Siri for users outside the United Sates, easier to identify icons for the different Shift key states, and WiFi sync fixes.
Apple isn't saying when iOS 7.1 will be publicly available. Developers, however, can download and install the beta 5 release today.
