The CoeLux light panel looks like a skylight, but is actually a sophisticated optical panel, a system that mimics blue sky and the illusion of the sun at a distance. It's designed for indoor spaces that would benefit from natural sunlight. From the website: "CoeLux is an optical system based on nano technology to artificially reproduce the natural light and visual appearance of the sun and sky. CoeLux offers a breakthrough opportunity for indoor architecture by creating the sensation of infinite space." It was developed by scientists in Italy. Current pricing, however, is high: US$61,000 and another $7,600 for installation. However, some corporations (or hospitals), for example, in special conditions, might consider it essential.
