Time for a confession: I love thermal imaging cameras because I love Ghost Hunters and some of the paranormal shows that have come in its wake. FLIR, a big name in professional thermal imaging, brought thermal imaging to the iPhone with the FLIR ONE, a device that does the thermal imaging internally while using your iPhone for the display. I'm going to be reviewing the new FLIR ONE model soon, but last week at Pepcom I also saw the FLIR VUE Pro, a thermal imaging module for drones. This device starts at $1,999, and it's aimed at commercial uses (such as agriculture, surveying, mapping, law enforcement, etc.). It inserts geo location and flight information data and it records directly to a microSD memory card. This device is just one more example of how drones are bringing major changes to modern life and business. It ships later in November.
