LAS VEGAS - During Monday's CES Unveiled event, Sphero was showing off its next super awesome toy, Force Band. This device will let you control Sphero's BB-8 droid from your wrist. On the one hand, BB-8 uses information from Force Band to know which way you're facing and where you're moving. On the other hand, you can issue commands to BB-8 through gestures. Is Force Band something you need? That is not the question you're looking for. What you should be asking is "How much?" and "When can I buy it?" Sphero hasn't announced pricing yet, and the device will ship in the fall of 2016. The form factor will look a little different from the one in my video below. I can't wait to check it out. Oh, and Sphero was also showing a "battle worn" version of BB-8 that more closely matches the one in Star Wars: The Force Awakens. It will also ship in the fall.
