Watch a 15-Foot Star Wars Star Destroyer Fly (Video)

I do so love ingenuity, and Star Wars is one of those things that seems to bring out so much random ingenuity in we humans. Especially the nerds. ALL HAIL THE NERDS! Take this video. A bunch of nerds wanted to find out if an Imperial Star Destroyer from Star Wars was capable of flight. Why? Who knows. Star Destroyers were built for space, not atmospheric flight. But who cares, right? It's way too cool to let little nitpicks like that get in the way of good scientific experimentation. So these folks built two scale models of a Star Destroyer, one of them some 15 feet long. They strapped motors to them and RC controllers, and boom! Ingenuity!
