The Typi Folio Case for iPad 2 and 3 is a thing of beauty and practical as all get out (or if you are from the British Isles, it is practical as all billyo).
Typi Folio Case
The high quality craftsmanship includes handcrafted leather, felt, fine finish stitching and a choice of colors. It comes with a built-in QWERTY Bluetooth keyboard with raised keys and a built-in stand.
Color options
The keyboard rests on felt and is held in place by magnets. There is an wrist rest included. The keyboard can be removed completely or it can be removed and used outside the case as shown in this image. All one has to do to remove it is just lift it.
Example of removeable keyboard
There is a front flap that holds the case closed and when holding both an iPad 3 and the keyboard, the case measures about 1.25 inches thick.
A look at the width
There is a built-in stand on the back that fastens with a snap when not in use.
Using the Product
The iPad is surrounded on all four sides when inserted in the case. One side has a turn-under flap that is held in place with Velcro. While the iPad is held firmly in place, it is easy enough to insert and remove it. All the appropriate openings are in place for ports and cameras. The Bluetooth connection only took a couple of minutes to set up.
The keyboard is small, of course, but the raised keys help, and I like that hotkeys and F keys are included. I touch type very fast and I had no trouble with accuracy. I do, however, like using the keyboard separated from the case because I can get it as close as I want.
Keyboard
The flap that holds the case closed does so with magnets.
Front fastener
The stand on the back remains closed by way of a snap when not in use.
Back stand fastener
When you are using the stand you will find that the front fastening flap will get in the way, falling forward over your screen and since it is made of leather, you can’t just push it aside.
Front flap can be bothersome
But, IPEVO has addressed this issue, taking advantage of the built-in magnet that works with the front of the case. All you have to do is flip the leather flap to the back and it will attach magnetically to the back stand, staying completely out of the way until you are ready for it again.

Do I recommend it?
I do. This is a classy product, well designed and well made with options to meet the needs of many.
