Shares of Apple, Inc. closed at a new all-time high of US$198.95 per share in light trading Wednesday, and hit a new all-time intraday high as well, trading as high as $200.96 in the afternoon session. The stock ended up giving back most of the dayis gains during late-afternoon trading, but still edged up $.15 per share.
The intra-day high was confirmed for Marketwatch by a Nasdaq spokersperson, who noted that AAPL flirted with the $200 per share mark on December 14th, 2007. The previous closing high of $198.80 was set on Monday, December 24th.
