Jobs Named MarketWatch Reader’s CEO of the Year

MarketWatch readers picked their choice for the 2007 CEO of the year, and the name that floated to the top of the list was Apple CEO Steve Jobs. Mr. Jobs beat out a list of finalists that included Microsoftis Steve Ballmer, John Chambers of Cisco, HP CEO Mark Hurd, and Eric Schmidt from Google.

Poll participant BonitoFlakes commented "How could Steve Jobs not win this award? His company is redefining the consumer electronics space and a little side business they call the Mac & OS X."

Mr. Jobs has been credited with giving Apple a focus and guiding several products that lead to the companyis resurgence. The iMac, the iPod, and the iPhone were all developed on his watch, and his drive for the iTunes Store helped change the online media market.
