Apple is reportedly planning to produce 30 percent more iPhones in the first half of 2021 than in the same period in 2020. In total, it is aiming to produce between 95 and 96 million handsets in the first six months of next year.
230 Million iPhones to be Built in 2021
Demand for the 5G-enabled iPhone 12 series of devices has surged. In total, Apple plans to build as many as 230 million iPhones of all models in 2021. That’s a 20 percent increase from the year before. An executive at a key Apple supplier told Nikkei:

The planned production for the next quarter and the following quarter have been decided and the outlook is quite bright. The iPhone 12 Pro, and iPhone 12 Pro Max are especially stronger than we estimated, while the demand for iPhone 12 is in line with the forecast, but iPhone 12 mini is a bit sluggish.
2021 looks to be a busy year for Apple. Not only is iPhone production is ramping up, but we are expecting higher-end Macs will move onto the company’s own silicon, possibly the next generation of the recently launched M1 chip.
