Apple has released major updates to Final Cut Pro for Mac and iPad, expanding support for ProRes RAW editing and Apple Log 2 workflows. The updates come alongside Final Cut Camera 2.0 for iPhone, but the Mac and iPad improvements are central to Appleās growing mobile-to-desktop production pipeline.
Final Cut Pro 11.2 on Mac
The Mac version now gives editors finer control over ProRes RAW footage captured on supported iPhone models. With version 11.2, you can:
- Adjust exposure, color temperature, tint, and demosaicing.
- Apply Apple Log 2 LUTs to maintain the vibrancy of the original scene.
- Work with improved stability and overall performance enhancements.
These additions make Final Cut Pro on Mac better suited for handling iPhone-shot ProRes RAW in professional workflows.
Final Cut Pro 2.3 on iPad
On iPad, Apple has aligned editing capabilities more closely with the Mac. Version 2.3 introduces the same ProRes RAW controls and Apple Log 2 playback support. Apple also added a new menu bar for faster navigation of commands and shortcuts, accessible by swiping down from the top edge or using a pointer with a trackpad on iPadOS 26.
For editors curious about cross-platform workflows, hereās how to use Apple Final Cut Pro on Windows PC.
