Apple will reopen its Roosevelt Field store in Garden City, New York, on Friday, November 21. The location, which first opened in 2002, has been closed for nearly a year for major renovations. The store sits inside Roosevelt Field, the largest shopping mall on Long Island, and has long been one of Apple’s busiest retail locations in the region.
The renovated store will feature a modern look that moves away from Apple’s older stainless-steel layout. Visitors can expect warmer tones and more natural materials, with expanded use of wood paneling and open spaces. Apple has not yet released official photos, so the final design will be revealed when the doors open later this month.
During construction, Apple operated a temporary store within the same mall to serve customers while renovations were underway. The temporary setup helped maintain service for repairs, pickups, and product launches, ensuring little disruption to shoppers.
More Store Updates Across the U.S.
The Roosevelt Field reopening comes as part of Apple’s wider effort to update several of its retail locations. Stores currently undergoing renovations include Apple South Coast Plaza in Costa Mesa, and Apple Baybrook in Friendswood, Texas.
Apple also opened a temporary store at The Forum in Carlsbad, California, while that location undergoes remodeling. Last month, Apple completed the relocation of its store at University Park Village in Fort Worth, Texas, offering a refreshed layout and design.
Outside the U.S., Apple recently finished renovations at its Chatswood Chase store near Sydney, Australia, continuing its push to modernize older locations around the world.
Each of these projects reflects Apple’s ongoing effort to blend its retail design language with updated materials and better accessibility, creating a consistent experience across its global stores.
