Apple Extends Return Deadline for Holiday 2025 Purchases

Apple has begun its annual holiday season preparations. Alongside festive updates across its stores, the company has activated its extended holiday return policy, giving customers more time to return their purchases.

Extended Holiday Return Window

Starting November 12, 2025, any product purchased from the Apple Store or online can be returned until January 8, 2026. Normally, Apple offers a 14-day return window, but this longer period ensures that gift buyers and recipients have enough time after the holidays to exchange or return items.

According to Apple’s website, the extended window applies to most purchases received between November 12 and December 25, 2025. However, iPhones financed through carriers like T-Mobile or Verizon follow the standard policy. All purchases made after December 25 return to Apple’s usual 14-day limit.

In select regions such as Italy, Spain, Japan, and Mexico, Apple provides an even longer return period. Products bought between November 12 and January 6, 2026, can be returned until January 20, 2026.

Exceptions and Store Highlights

Apple Store online

As always, Apple’s refund policy excludes certain categories, including opened software, software downloads, developer products, and gift cards. These limitations remain consistent with previous years.

To mark the holiday season, Apple has also refreshed its online and physical store displays with themed visuals and curated gift recommendations. Featured items include the HomePod mini, Apple TV, and AirTag. Despite their age, these products remain part of Apple’s highlighted lineup for holiday shoppers.

Low HomePod mini stock at several Apple Stores has fueled speculation about a possible refresh, though no new model has been confirmed.

Buying and Gifting Made Easier

Within the Apple Store app on iPhone and iPad, users can now send personalized gift emails directly, making it easier to shop and share gifts digitally.

The extended return policy offers peace of mind for anyone buying Apple products this season. Whether you’re purchasing early or waiting for December deals, Apple ensures your holiday gifts can be returned or exchanged well into the new year.
