macOS Tahoe 26.3 Public Beta 3 Brings Fixes Ahead of February Release

Apple Releases macOS Tahoe 26.3 beta 1 for Mac Users

Apple has released macOS Tahoe 26.3 public beta 3 for testers, one day after shipping the same beta to developers. The new build number is 25D5112c.

So far, macOS 26.3 looks like a quiet update. Apple has not shared a detailed public changelog, and early tester reports point to fixes rather than new headline features.

If Apple sticks to its usual cadence, macOS 26.3 should land for everyone in late January or early February 2026.

How to install macOS 26.3 public beta 3

  1. Back up your Mac (Time Machine is the easiest option).
  2. Open System Settings.
  3. Go to GeneralSoftware Update.
  4. Tap the “i” next to Beta Updates.
  5. Choose macOS Tahoe Public Beta from the list.
  6. Go back, then click Update Now (or Upgrade Now, depending on what you see).

If you already run the macOS public beta, you can usually just install it from Software Update without changing anything.

Changes in macOS 26.3 public beta 3

Apple has not highlighted specific new features for this beta. What you should expect in build 25D5112c is the usual mid cycle tuning:

  • Bug fixes for system apps and background services
  • Performance improvements that reduce random slowdowns and UI stutters
  • Stability and security updates aimed at reliability

If you notice something that feels different, it is worth checking the spots that often change quietly in point releases: Wi Fi behavior, Bluetooth reliability, Spotlight indexing, and battery drain during sleep.

What’s next: macOS 26.4 and the Siri chatter

The next round of betas is expected to start with 26.4 in February. Separately, multiple reports say Apple plans to demo Gemini-powered Siri improvements in February, with the first pieces tied to the 26.4 / iOS 26.4 beta cycle.

If you installed macOS 26.3 public beta 3, tell me what changed for you. If something broke, say what model Mac you use and what app or feature is acting up.
