Apple May Demo Gemini Powered Siri in iOS 26.4 Beta Next Month

Apple May Demo Gemini Powered Siri in iOS 26.4 Beta Next Month

Apple plans to reveal the results of its Siri Gemini partnership next month, with a public demo expected in February. The company wants to show how Gemini now powers key Apple Intelligence features, starting with a much smarter Siri that runs on Apple’s Private Cloud Compute system. Apple has worked on its own models for years, but that effort did not move fast enough. So it turned to Google to bring advanced AI features to iPhone, iPad, and Mac.

Apple plans to focus the first public reveal on Siri. The assistant will use Gemini models to understand what is on your screen, learn more about you, and take actions inside apps. This makes Siri feel less like a voice tool and more like a real helper across the system.

Here is what the new Siri will do in iOS 26.4:

  • Read and understand what you see on screen
  • Use your personal context to give better replies
  • Take actions inside supported apps
  • Run all requests through Apple’s Private Cloud Compute for privacy

Bloomberg report

Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman says Apple is “less than a month away from unveiling the results of this partnership.” He also says Apple plans to announce the new Siri in the “second half of February” and give live demos of how it works. Apple has not decided if this will be a large event or a smaller press briefing, but the company plans to show the features publicly.

Gurman adds that Apple wants to finally deliver on the Siri promises it made at WWDC in June 2024. That event first introduced Apple Intelligence, but many of its biggest features never shipped.

Inside Apple, the Gemini-powered models run under the name Apple Foundation Models v10. This system uses a 1.2 trillion parameter model that runs on Apple’s Private Cloud Compute servers. That means your data does not go to Google’s public cloud. Apple controls the hardware and the privacy rules.

This setup lets Apple use Gemini’s intelligence while keeping its own security and data protection model in place.

What’s next

The Gemini-powered Siri in iOS 26.4 is only the start. Apple plans to expand these models in iOS 27, with even deeper system access and smarter actions. For now, February marks the moment when users and developers finally get to see what this Google partnership delivers.

If Apple shows a fast and reliable Siri next month, it will change how people think about Apple Intelligence. After years of delays, the company now needs to prove it can keep up.
